The Background Story of Voice Up Publishing, Inc.

When my son turned two years old I made a commitment to sit down and read with him every evening. I wanted him to hear the tone of my love for him, through my voice. Listening to my ideas for his future.

I shared with him how to have fun saying, playing, and sounding words. I shared with him how to have fun with his voice, embracing the cadence of our culture and the creativity of our identity. He inspired me to create a world of stories that celebrate the excellence of positive relationships.

Art is completing a doctorate degree in the Health Sciences, with an emphasis on raising awareness about behavioral building better supports for youth, teens, and young adults to seek help. He currently serves on the executive leadership team for a regional community mental health center that serves urban, rural, and suburban communities.
