Position Summary
We're seeking a compassionate and visionary Program Director to lead our initiative that connects students across different faiths, cultures, and traditions. This role focuses on gathering and sharing monthly stories that highlight how universal human values create positive change in our communities, fostering understanding and appreciation across cultural boundaries.
Primary Responsibilities
Cultural & Spiritual Bridge-Building
- Foster meaningful connections between students of different faiths and cultural backgrounds
- Create safe, respectful spaces for sharing spiritual and cultural perspectives
- Ensure inclusive representation across different faiths, cultures, and traditions
- Guide respectful dialogue around universal human values
- Facilitate cross-cultural and interfaith learning opportunities
Story Collection & Curation
- Gather monthly success stories that demonstrate universal values in action:
- Love and compassion in community service
- Joy in celebrating different traditions
- Peace-building between different groups
- Patience in fostering understanding
- Forgiveness and reconciliation
- Kindness across cultural boundaries
- Wisdom from different traditions
- Hope in times of challenge
Program Development
- Design programs that celebrate shared humanity while honoring distinct traditions
- Create frameworks for respectful interfaith and intercultural dialogue
- Develop guidelines for sharing faith-based and cultural experiences
- Build measurement tools for tracking program impact on understanding and unity
- Establish partnerships with diverse religious and cultural organizations
Community Engagement
- Connect with campus faith groups and cultural organizations
- Build relationships with religious and cultural leaders
- Foster collaboration between different faith communities
- Create opportunities for shared service projects
- Facilitate intercultural celebrations and events
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a higher learning institution
Or, recent alumni with strong community connections
Or, 3+ years experience in interfaith or intercultural program management
- Demonstrated success in bringing diverse groups together
- Strong understanding of different faith traditions and cultural practices
- Excellence in creating inclusive spaces
- Outstanding cultural competency skills
- Experience with respectful dialogue facilitation
- Track record of building cross-cultural partnerships
Desired Qualities
- Personal experience bridging different faith or cultural communities
- Background in peace-building or conflict resolution
- Understanding of various spiritual and cultural traditions
- Strong emotional intelligence and empathy
- Ability to find common ground across differences
- Passion for unity in diversity
Position Structure
- Part-time position (20-25 hours/week)
- 100% remote work arrangement

- Initial 6-month commitment with growth potential

First 6 Months:
- Establish network of student contributors from diverse faith and cultural backgrounds
- Launch monthly story collection highlighting universal values
- Create respectful guidelines for sharing faith-based experiences
- Develop partnerships with 10+ religious and cultural organizations
- Implement impact measurements for increased understanding and connection
